La Guácima, Alajuela. Costa Rica (proposed location)
It is the interior of a HOME — the intermediary space, the heart that unifies everything around it.
The project seeks to reclaim architecture for people in economically limited conditions — in the case of INTERDOMUS, the lower-middle class. It aims to respond coherently to its surroundings on a climatic, social, and cultural level. The living space of INTERDOMUS revolves around social and humanistic closeness, seeking a sense of togetherness at both the household and neighborhood scale.
"The dwelling is the skin of the individual, the outermost space that separates the individual from the collective. Every home reflects the soul of those who inhabit it." — Alvar Aalto
